About the designer
Lorraine Johnson was raised in the States, but came to London
after she completed her degree in Fine Arts/Graphic Design
at Ohio University. After working in graphic design she became
a book packager, creating many successful gardening and cookery
titles for major international publishers.
During 1992-93 she achieved distinctions in the City and
Guilds gardening program, which led her to garden design training
with Robin Williams and Lucy Huntington. Since then she has
designed both urban and country gardens in contemporary and
traditional styles in both the UK and France.
